    My new favorite jacket

Posted by Unknown on 25th Mar 2016

My wife and I are back from three weeks in Europe (London, Paris, and Barcelona). I wore this jacket almost every day and it worked very well. It kept me dry, warm, and kept valuables safe from pick pockets the whole time. It survived being rolled, scrunched, getting wet, and all the while kept me warm and dry. I was carrying a backpack too for some of those days and there are no signs of abrasion or wear from then backpack straps - this is a tough fabric that appears to wear very

Admittedly, the jacket is not waterproof but it got me through about
four hours of a steady drizzle on one day when I should probably have worn a rainproof jacket. The hood worked very well too. After that experience, I mostly stopped wearing my Barbour jacket as the Knox was all that I really needed. Next time, I will probably just take the Knox jacket.

After the trip, I got the jacket dry-cleaned although there was no
real outer staining. It was a bit “rank” though and it cleaned up
well. For waterproofing, I used a bottle of Obenauf’s waterproofing
spray and there was no discolouration. I will try the NikWax that you
recommended next time. I just happened to have the Obenaufs handy.

About the pick-pockets, they are rampant in Paris and Barcelona. The inner zipped pocket, and the ease of keeping the jacket zipped (or just using the snap fasteners) meant that it would have been very
difficult to get inside my jacket. As well, that outer horizontal
pocket you provided for sunglasses also worked well for tickets,
transit cards, and anything else that I needed frequent access to but
that I needed to keep secure. I can’t say enough about how good this
    jacket is, especially for travelling.

    Comfortable, practical, good-looking jacket

Posted by Alex on 30th Jun 2015

The pictures on this website, as good as they are, don't show how beautiful the fabric is. The jacket is very comfortable and has an amazing array of useful and easy-to-reach pockets. For me, this is very important in my ongoing attempts to keep organized. The jacket just works from the get go - no break in, no awkward adjustments, entirely practical.

The jacket has solid construction with a good zipper, impeccable stitching, and an overall clean, simple look. I am very happy with this jacket and I highly recommend it to anyone. This is a keeper!
